Before Saturday and Sunday swooped swiftly into sight, the super Preps from Childers State School celebrated a spectacular, sparkly, smile-soaked day saluting a single, successful week of Prep.
We sang several silly, side-splitting songs, including a seriously sensational sing-along about sausages sliding and sizzling in a saucepan. Smiles spread, shoulders shimmied and spirits soared!
We splashed into seaside style play at our special school sand spot, scooping with spades, stacking with buckets, and sculpting some superb, sky-scraping sandcastles. Sharp eyes scanned the sky, searching for soaring seagulls swooping smoothly overhead.
We also studied some super-smart sun safety strategies: slipping on a shirt, slopping on sunscreen, slapping on a hat, slinging on sunnies, sipping some water and seeking shady spots on a sunny, scorching day. Such sensible, safe superstars!
To finish, we styled and sparkled while making spectacular sun sunglasses, then sat side by side spreading butter on soft sandwich slices and squeezing sauce onto sausages that sizzled, spattered and smelled simply scrumptious.
Being in Prep is SO spectacular, special and seriously so much fun!
